On Country and For Country. Creating Real Opportunities in Regional WA

For MDM Mining & Civil, success has never been measured by machines or contracts alone it’s about creating lasting opportunities for people and communities across Western Australia. As a 100% Aboriginal-owned business, MDM is committed to ensuring that every project we deliver strengthens local capability, cultural pride, and economic independence.

Local People, Local Impact

When MDM takes on a project, we make it a priority to employ and upskill local Indigenous people.
In the past five years, we’ve trained and employed over 135 people with 35% identifying as Aboriginal, 12% as women, and 38% as residents of the Kimberley region.

By creating jobs close to home, we enable families to stay connected to their Country while contributing to major resource and infrastructure projects. These are real careers not short-term placements that help bridge the gap between opportunity and access in remote areas.

Empowering Growth Through Mentorship and Training

MDM’s leadership team many of whom have walked the same path as the workers they now mentor, are passionate about sharing their knowledge and experience.
Through structured mentoring and on-the-job learning, our employees gain not just technical skills, but confidence, leadership, and purpose.

Every new project becomes a classroom, every piece of equipment a tool for empowerment.

Community Connection Beyond the Worksite

Our engagement doesn’t stop when the workday ends.
MDM proudly supports local sporting clubs and community initiatives across the Kimberley, including a Tier 1 sponsorship of the Warmun Eagles Football Club, contributing $10,000 annually, alongside support for various regional events and fundraisers.

These partnerships aren’t about visibility, they’re about giving back to the communities that shape who we are.

Building a Future on Country

From earthworks and rehabilitation to training and mentoring, MDM’s mission remains the same to deliver projects with purpose that create long-term value for both industry and community.

Every kilometre of road built, every site rehabilitated, and every job created contributes to a future where Indigenous people are not just part of the mining and civil sector, but leading it.

Because at MDM, we don’t just work on Country, we work for Country.
