Building Strong Foundations. Investing in Fleet, People, and Progress
Investing in Fleet, People, and Progress
At MDM Mining & Civil, growth isn’t just about scale, it’s about strength, innovation, and people.
Over the past few years, MDM has undergone rapid transformation, evolving from a small Indigenous-owned contracting business to a trusted partner delivering major projects for industry leaders such as Rio Tinto, Liberty Industrial, Tivan, and MainRoads WA.
This growth is fuelled by one clear philosophy: invest in the right people, the right plant, and the right processes and performance follows.
A Modern Fleet Driving Modern Projects
With over $20 million invested in advanced plant and equipment, MDM continues to raise the bar for performance and precision in regional contracting.
Our modern fleet featuring GPS-integrated excavators, graders, and dozers, including electric-powered models, is designed to maximise accuracy, safety, and environmental responsibility.
Every machine is equipped with advanced guidance systems that allow operators to work smarter, faster, and with minimal environmental impact.
Whether it’s constructing complex access roads, completing large-scale tailings storage rehabilitation, or delivering mine site infrastructure, our investment ensures every MDM project meets the highest national and global standards.
Powered by People
Behind every machine is a skilled team of operators, mechanics, and supervisors who take pride in their work.
In just two years, our workforce has doubled to 84 employees, with 35% identifying as Aboriginal and 38% calling the Kimberley home.
We believe in creating pathways not just positions, so every MDM project becomes an opportunity for growth. Through mentorship, training, and hands-on experience, our people gain the skills to lead in one of the most technically demanding industries in Australia.
Sustainability and Stewardship
Our investment in technology goes hand in hand with our commitment to sustainability. From electric dozers that reduce emissions to drone surveying that minimises environmental disturbance, every advancement we make is guided by the principle of leaving Country better than we found it.
Looking Ahead
As we continue to grow, our focus remains on delivering safe, sustainable, and high-quality outcomes for our clients and communities alike.
Because at MDM, we’re not just building roads or rehabilitating land, we’re building opportunity, capability, and legacy across regional Western Australia.
